I saw that you had problems with your talas. I think im having these problems aswell, the travel adjustment wont work any more after 4 months of riding the same time as you developed problems with yours. How did you get the problem sorted out? i may have to go to my lbs with this issue im not sure.

Oh okay. I was looking on the net and asked 99 about it an dit said it was a "Horst Link" I tried to look into that and the other types of systems but couldn't really make any sense out of them. It also has what they call a "floating brake" that is independent to the rear so it does not get any brake-jack. Anyway it's just a dream bike for now but was wondering what you thought. I am keen to demo it for a day from 99 soon though.

It was also brought up as I saw you were at the brookfeild DH race. Do you think its worth going too? My cousin was talking the track up. Just don't want to go out there and be disappointed. (as a spectator point of view goes)

Yeh I realise that. It was more of a point saying that fitness wise xc is better for me. Probably less chance of crashing too, or not as badly :/.

Purt wrote
Jan 18, 2009 at 19:29
I've only heard good things about the hope pro2 hubs. Good point about the money. I was actually going to get a DH bike and race but thought it would be better for fitness to get a xc bike and you get more for your money at races.

it would be ok for all mountain but its more off a slopestyle frame so is heavier than your normal allmountain frame
